Indeed. Try restricting yourself to 8.
Hm, maybe.

And my doctor gave me this pill to take, but it just makes me sleep for like 12 hours every day and still be tired (today was extra because I didn't sleep very much yesterday), so I don't take it. I'm seeing him in a few days so I'll see what happens then.

I wouldn't take anything nor seek any outside advice. You're simply unmotivated and getting too much sleep; it's a state of mind.

Seriously?Confused

Seriously what?

The "you're simply unmotivated" bit and it's "a state of mind".
You seem to almost suggest that people snap out of stuff like that (that is, if Henry actually is in "a state of mind" anyway, which we don't know).

In the end everything comes down to self-discipline and free will, other than tangible events that happen in the realm of uncontrollable nature (i.e.: tornadoes).

I have to go with Harry on this one. The least Henry can do is talk with someone and see what's up. Especially since sleeping 12 hours is anything but normal or "a state of mind". Heck, it could be a sign of depression (keep in mind that I don't have the full picture and know everything that's going on in Henry's mind though).

Don't be ridiculous Alex.
Seriously, unless you've been in the shoes of people with Bi Polar, Borderline Personality Disorder, or whatever mood disorder or personality disorder etc, don't just say stuff like "it's self discipline and free will".
I don't want to be so blunt and harsh, but seriously dude, you would have no idea how much you would offend someone with those kind of mental illnesses if you went up to them and just said "you're not self disciplined enough, you don't have enough free will, just snap out of it".

I'm not willing to engage in an intellectual discussion on anything pertaining to matters to which that this could lead. In fact, I'm going to head off here for the night, because I'm getting sick of sitting here.

Take care, everyone!

Although Upsilon Acrux is incredible.

They're in RIO/Avant but they're also definitely a math band.

avant-math ftw!

Gosh, that was a mess. They were on the original list of bands to be moved from RIO/Avant to Math when the genre first started...lucky you got to keep them!Wink

But we just took Hella today!Evil Smile

I have Galapagos Momentum and I thought it was just awesome.  Also going to grab some Hella soon.

We have professionally trained people because they know their stuff, put simply.
Hell, not everyone understands the DSM-IV-TR and quite frankly, a lot of people can't just deal with some of these alone.
Absolutely do not diagnose yourself unless you are trained in that field.
That is possibly some of the worst advice you can give someone.

Given that I've suffered from depression when I was younger, I can relate 100%.

Indeed, that's a good thing. May I recommend the album they performed as The Ladies? It's basically a Hella shoot-off band, one album...gosh I can't remember the name of the album but they are in the 'chives and have been reviewed by moi, so you can check that out. Good little album, it was quite short though.

I'm gonna head out as well, not sure if it's gonna be a snow day or not so I'd better get some sleep just in case. Night all!

I am pretty sure I am not bipolar just lazy, but yeah, that's a really dumb thing to say.

That reminds me, I occasionally wonder if I should start a 9/11 Truth thread so I can know who to hate, but then I realize there is no real basis for me to do so, and that would just make me more unhappy, so why should I?

Noooooo! I was really liking them being in Avant. :( Why on earth is math rock under post-rock anyway? I can see from a philosophical perspective, but sound wise they are complete opposites.
