That's because New Zealand have the best tennis players in the world.

Dementieva is always hit and miss.  Sometimes she's amazing and sometimes she's awful.

Henin should get that game.

I wouldn't say that so confidently. Dementieva turns into a "miss" towards the climax of Grand Slams (and, well, there was last year's early exit to Oudin). Still feel sorry for that Wimby semi.

Although...

Young New Zealander Marcus Daniell and  his partner Horia Tecau of Romania are the 2010 Heineken Open doubles champions.

For a competetive sporting country, we Fail at Tennis. Plus I find dull.

Yeah, that was surprising!

But the overall ranks don't look fine for doubles either.

One man haka fails hard, unless they are a 6'3, 110kg Maori.

I notice our Wunderkind Australian-born 15 year-old Laura Robson failed to qualify and is now going to play in the Junior Tournament of the Australian Open.

It does make me laugh though.

Greg Rusedski - Canadian born
Elena Baltacha - Bielorussian born, I think
Laura Robson - Australian born

It's nice to know we have a brilliant Scottish tennis player and no English-born talent.

Well, they can do it all 12, before heading into the first round of qualifications. Tongue

She's only 15 mind you.  She could well do better when she's stopped growing and improves more and more.

Same with your Cricket team, full of South Africans. Typical.
