No, I agree. ;-)

To be quite honest, I've got massively eclectic tastes. I'll have anything on in the background whilst I'm working, from classical to bebop, and if it's good, then I like it. I don't care about labels.

Louis Armstrong summed it up - "There is good music and there is bad music."  I think that's as far as a distinction as I care to make. And of course, what is good and bad is subjective for everyone.

Yes, I know, I know, some people want to have everything categorised, but even the categories are somewhat artificial and subjective. But if you categorise artists, then start categorising their albums and individual tracks as well and it all becomes, in my view, a waste of time.

Other opinions may of course vary.

Ermm  149 of these replies are yours (yes, I counted them). Since you seem to pay a lot of attention to your own threads (normal, you follow the replies, read them, reread them, reread them again), and since you regularly edit your own messages, I guess that about 60 to 80% of the views are yours.

So, yes, I guess that says a lot.

Now you got me suprised. That means 8.727 to 11.636 views, or something around 10.000 views - it says that I've been veeery busy.

No wonder that Prog definition can be important for many Prog lovers / Proggers because what is it more exactly,
we love, or it can even be a question of identity.

To be honest, it's been more of a hysterical document than a historical document, reading some of the hilarious responses here, but at least you've kept us all entertained. Tongue

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Hystery can be a part of history, and even you've got a point, I don't agree with you here. Big smile

That's surely important, I'd just say that there has been a lot of good discussion in this blog. Smile

But I can imagine that this post of yours is meant as a help to what you can see as my big problem and dilemma concerning PA, and thanks for that, Paul. Smile

Is this a ploy to get me to respond so that the numbers go up on this thread despite my response having nothing to do with the actual subject of the thread?

If so then I demand a share of the prize you receive for getting the most responses on a PA thread.

We're all believers, and the basic meaning of our faith has been put to discussion here. It's only natural that the arguments keep going on forever...

^ Sure, it's a great topic for anyone who enjoys travelling in ever decreasing circles until they vanish up their own fundamental orifice.

David_D's threads never die as long as he is here to try and beat some life back into them.

I'd prefer if people who don't find a thread interesting don't post there rather than troll and ridicule it.
