You're not the only one, Tuxon!

But really, I don't care about that aspect of the Scrobbler.

Dont you think Fountain Of Lamneth sounds naff these days?

I have the remastered Cd,which is probably the most successful of all the Rush remasters, but still FOL does not stand the test of time.....

I really like FOL. It certainly is not the best Rush song, and it's not the best song on Caress of Steel, and it doesn't compare to any of the other epics that Rush had, but still I find it really enjoyable. It was like a warm up for 2112.

Caress of Steel is my favorite Rush album cover, too.

Does audioscrobbler differentiate between 'versions' of songs? (i.e. Live and studio let's say)

And also, does it recognize 'bootlegged' or 'rarity' songs? And what about mispelled songs on your media player? (happens often with dowloaded material)

    @Cluster One
audioscrobbler plugin reads info like title, author, album and length in audio file tag

I think, but I'm no sure, songs with exactly same artist (or with mispelled names but moderate* to be the same, like Anglagard and Änglagård) AND same title appear together, also in the case with different album and length (I think this is useful for audioscrobbler "sister service" http://www.last.fm/ bundled, and usable, with same account)

IMPORTANT: audioscrobbler plugin reads only info in tags, not filename, so fles without tags are not processed

so it's important have correct tags

a useful free resource to tag files is http://musicbrainz.org/ to detect automatically tags also for files without tags or correct filenames (musicbrainz uses a database built with users submission)

*= moderation is an audioscrobbler feature currently not more available to correct mispelled artist (not title!)

    goodbye

Not for me, because I put any extra info (live, acoustic, etc.) in the "Comment" tag, instead of "Title".

Tag it and it'll recognise anything.

I tried the musicbrainz; even created an account, so on and so on. Even though an account has been created, it won't allow me to log in (very strange) and I can't start 'tagging'. After 10-15 minutes of wasting my time, I have subsequently deleted this program from my compie as it's not working or being 'recognized' or whatever.

It's been a few days now. I also noticed that audioscrobbler isn't 'scrobbling' anything for/from my profile. (For others as well in the Progarchives group) Yet others who have subscribed after me have had their music 'scrobbled'.

(Quickly losing interest in this, especially if it is more trouble than it is worth )
