What Rush albums have you tried?

I am curious about this as well.  Different eras of Rush were big in different parts of my life, now I just like it all!

Black Sabbath, but for me they're really too far apart to compare.
Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974, it's a scientific fact.

Black Sabbath. More influential, more important, more innovative and, most importantly, more kickass.  As much as I like Rush, I really dislike the tech obsession they spawned. Thank God metal started with Sabbath and not Rush!

You don't like 2112 even in the least? I mean that album is closer to Zeppelin and Sabbath than their latter releases.

Black Sabbath alone are no contest, but when you add in the hordes of black, death, thrash and power metal bands inspired by Black Sabbath, Rush will be cRushed within seconds...

Sweet, somebody else posted Planet Caravan, aka the best song Sabbath ever recorded. That solo, wow.

I'm slowly starting to appreciate Sabbath after a long period of being uninterested in them, but that's probably because I realised that almost all their stuff is perfect for a beginner on guitar to rock out to. Great fun.

My knowlege of Rush is pretty limited. I like 2112, and a handful of other songs, but a heck of a lot of their stuff is too w**ky for my tastes. Tom Sawyer, YYZ and its ilk do nothing for me.

I like the intro of 2112, but when the song kick's in, it just gets more and more boring.

Confused Is that "kick is" or "belonging to kick"? If "kicks" needs an apostrophe, why not "gets" as well? Geek

Oh yes.

But it's still Rush, notwithstanding the badass level.

Sabbath means nothing to me, although I did enjoy the Blizzard of Oz.  Its Rush for me.  Just look at the top 100 albums, it's not really a competition, but this one is so close means that BS are not really represented properly in the archives!!

To be fair - BS is not prog.  It's like calling Bjork metal!!!  Rush rools!!!!

Rush of course. because even in the 80's and 90's they managed in the worst case, not to suck. unlike Sabbath.
