What if there are multiple gods? Greek mythology? Can I pick bands?

For me, the god couldn't be a person. So it would be a band, or bands (maybe even albums).

It would be nice, if there wasn't names or at least not proper nouns. And it should look great, or be invisible.

Maybe it is some future band.

Or was the point here only that we list some god artists? :P Of course Magma and Univers Zero came to my mind. If it should be a person, maybe Frank Zappa comes to my mind first. But I don't like persons. Actually I hate Frank Zappa because the artist's name is a name.

But anyway, I'd choose some obscure, scary and monumental album (of course not CD or LP - it just would be a monument). Like Pataphonie - Le Matin Blanc, or s/t, at least if they were better albums. Shub-Niggurath.. many black metal albums... lol. Maybe mysteries are overrated and there's no perfect albums or bands.

So if it wasn't better than other bands, it should have some other powers. Like making people fall asleep or kill themselves or reach a clear state of mind.

Musically it would be Neal Morse.

But as a God like character it would be Zappa. He sounds like God.

False... I happen to believe in Phil... I love Pop Genesis and I love many of good old Phil's solo songs!

I definitely believe more in him than in god... Until I'm proven wrong by either Phil releasing a new album or god finally proggin' it up... Tongue

Since the existence of God is often discussed, I think that the God of Prog-Religion should be another character whose presence or absence would be hardly discussed.

Hmmm...

Syd Barret?

Yes, but he'd be constantly seeking promotion, a pay rise and taking every religious holiday
