At the Tigers' game on Saturday night there was a homeless black guy wearing a Dream Theater Six Degrees Of Turbulence sweatshirt. This left me really curious about the backstory behind that.

It's terrible how far Mike Portnoy has fallen, isn't it? Did he have a sign saying "will thrash for cash"? ![]() |

A few days ago I heard an edit version of Starless by King Crimson... And another time, on the same station, they passed Epitaph

^ Classic rock station, I bet.
Turns out they DO sell prog in Wal-Mart (... well, other than PF): $5/pup. And not $4.99. How about that?

^ I recently bought Fragile at Barnes & Noble for $4.99. I am tring to stock up on the lesser known Rush releases as well, since they are usually dirt cheap.

It was Radio Capital, an Italian radio station that plays mainly Westcoast Rock, but sometimes it's not difficult to find some Prog songs like those in the evening |

That's an uncanny representation of what you would get if you crossed the covers for King Crimson and Gentle Giant's debut albums. |

I have this habbit of browsing through the CDs in our four Music Shops here in East London, South Africa, and when ever I see a Prog CD I put it at the front of the stack. Unfortunately I never find CDs which are not already in my collection, but at least I hope I can create some curiousity amongst other buyers for Marillion, Rush, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Mars Volta, Dream Theater, Yes, etc. (those are the artists I usually stumble across).

When I find an album that I want I usually hide it under a mountain of cds in order to keep it safe from other customers' hands
