Found this Hawkwind in a used bin on the way home from work (say! whattaya know):

Kind of an oddball album in the Hawkwind world, a collection of studio outtakes and live recordings in the early 80s.  But pretty much any (studio) Hawkwind is worth having, I'm told.  It's the live albums you need to be wary of.

Deep Purple's s/t.
My favorite album from them by far.

I don't know why everyone acts all disappointed with this album, I think it's one of the best albums of the last couple of years. But I am an ambient music lover, so maybe I 'get' this kind of music a bit better than all the other fans who were hoping for ( ) part 2?

I agree, it's simply just more experimental than other works, it's orchestral, ambient, electronic and poppy all at the same time. It's a lot to take in but it's by no means a disappointment that some critics here call it. It's actually slowly creeping its way to my favorite Sigur Ros album. Thumbs Up

I've only listened to it a couple of times, and it definitely has not hit me as of yet.  But I've not given up!

I recommend listening to Von first, before buying!  (Caveat emptor)
