I've only driven through it. Belgium is a boring country.
I sort of believe all countrys can be experienced, even those on the surface boring places, can hide a brewing underground experience.

I saw a very good and disturbing series about human trafficing and prostitution were Antwerpen was the main place of action. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0320882/

Albums from 2017 that I have been digging:
Gas– Narkopop (orchestral ambient)
Various Artists– Mono No Aware (diverse stylings of ambient, but towards the electoacoustic side)
Kelly Lee Owens– Kelly Lee Owens (minimal techno/house, ambient pop; like Grouper meets Kid A)
Sampha– Process (Alternative R&B; like Solange meets Radiohead)
Mount Eerie– A Crow Looked At Me (devastating yet home-y indie folk record about the loss of a loved one)
Priests– Nothing Feels Natural (post-punk/surf rock)
Julie Byrne– Not Even Happiness (nice, ethereal folk)
Seiko Oomori– kitixxxgaia (hyper Japanese art pop)
Kendrick Lamar– DAMN. (y'all all know this one already)

Some of my 2017 1st/2ndQ highlights:
King Gizzard - Flying Microtonal Banana (rockin', microtonal motorik)
Xiu Xiu - Forget (Jamie Stewart hits the dance floor)
Sun Kil Moon - Common as Light and Love (picks up where Benji left off epically)
Farmer John Misty - Pure Comedy (Josh Tillman makes us laugh and cry all over again)
t q d - UKG (UK dance electronica)
Pharmakon - Contact (110% of your DRV of NOISE)
Animal Collective - Meeting of The Waters (Sung Tongs meets Here Comes The Indian - a return to form)
Wiley and Stormzy's albums (excellent grime releases)
The Pablo Collective - The Death of Pablo (anarchic, dark, experimental deconstruction of The Life of Pablo)

Also Gas, Sampha, Mount Eerie, Kendrick.
