Pillars of earth was thoroughly enjoyable. Ian McShane rules!

Now it's on to Holmes on Homes.

Some re-runs of "Monk". I'd better read Joseph Conrad.

The popularity of Monk upsets me. It's really not ok to have a show based around making fun of somebody's mental illness. If it were almost anything else, people would be up in arms, but somehow, since OCD is a little eccentric, it's comedy gold and not a debilitating illness. For example: On the next episode of Monk the Parapalegic: He falls down the stairs again! Ahahahaha oh Monk, when will you learn to walk?

What, apart from being a pain in the a..?!

On the OCD issue... Frasier's brother Niles is pretty neurotic too, reminds me of myself actually! Tongue

I watched a little Monk.  The main character seems to be a complete jerk so I moved on to better things to waste my time on.

^ Yep, he's just too annoying. Thing is, with all his phobias he'd never leave the house... I mean, it's a jungle out there!

I'm not sure how you could watch a few episodes of Monk and not realize he has a severe case of OCD, but I've also only seen parts of episodes so maybe it's downplayed at soe times.

The only jokes they make on the show are in reference to his OCD,
"One had to be a Newton to notice that the moon is falling, when everyone sees that it doesn't fall. "
