Welcome to my club.

Seriously, what's wrong?

I'm unemployed, trying to cover flat rent, I can't ask my parents because my father has also become unemployed and we don't earn enough to cover everything.

And now the phone company slapped me with $200 early disconnection fee.

And I've just been denied from about 10 jobs in 2 weeks.

I honestly know what you're going through.  sh*t, I'm still digging myself out.

Not financial advice: Don't pay any bills you absolutely don't have to.  Sell something you can live without to cover the rent.  Keep the heat/lights on.  In a word, don't sweat the disconnection fee- it's an unsecured debt, so f**k 'em for now.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do - its not much of a problem now, as long as I can find work in a few weeks. At worst I'm in debt untill March.

Thanks for the support Thumbs Up

I promise if I were a man of means I'd hook you up, but we're struggling our damn selves.  Please keep us updated- my wife and I will pray for you if that's any consolation.  Things will work out.

Thanks, I'm sure it will be fine, just a temporary hitch in the usual progress Tongue

Hope everything goes well for you and your family as well.

At the end of the day it is only money.

If I was living with my parents now, I don't even want to think about how much money I'd be saving. Ugh.

Freedom isn't free, so they say.

I don't care about freedom because I don't do anything interesting!

Don't eat 2 minute noodles, man, those are sh*t. Spaghetti isn't hard to make and costs a dollar a pound.

I'm just saying, if there is ever a situation in which you are required to eat Ramen Noodles, God is dead.

I eat a lot of canned soup, but I don't think it's very cheap. It's about $3 a can here, which is only a pound, and most of that is liquid. You can even get decent deli ham for $5 a pound, and lunchmeat is hardly the most economical meal.

Also, I'm really retarded sometimes. I finished the first disc of The Wire, so I was walking out to return it, and right after I slip it into the mailbox I realize I hadn't put it in an envelope. Now I'll have to camp out by the mailbox tommorow to prevent the mailman from throwing it away or something.

I wonder if that works the other way around, like if God's dead then we have to eat Ramen.

There was a $1 sale for cans of Progresso soup recently. I got like 15 cans.

Nice deal! Every so often they go 2 or 3 for $5 and I get a bunch.

The problem is that I get distracted sometimes and am not really paying attention to what I am doing...

I did get Tomato Basil soup, though, which I'm pretty sure is just runny spaghetti sauce.

Ha, I laugh at vegetable soup! You got to get the classic chicken noodle. The Rich and Hearty chicken noodle is disgusting because they added a bunch of salt and/or used cheaper meat to be able to get more in for the same price, and I can't eat any kind of beef soup anymore, they're equally disgusting. After all these years of eating soup for lunch almost every day, I'm down pretty much to the chicken noodle and chicken and dumplings.

Bah!

Campbells Chicken Noodle is the only way to go. Pure salt, but it's the best.

Vegetable beef, man. I did try some clam chowder and that was pretty good.

I cannot mollusks. The best seafood I can manage is fish, and even then it usually has to be fried.

Also, Blade Runner needed to make more sense, but I did watch the Director's Final Cut, so maybe it lost something in the first four revisions.
