I prefer the remake.......but to be honest I don't like the original so it's no competition really.
And ET really bores me. But so many people love it.

but oh that music in the remake, p - U,
at least we had Tony Newly writing for the first one .. ET is one
of those all-too-perfect movies that actually got more boring over time
(whereas Close Encounters is still very good)

Toy Story for me, but I'm biased.
It's still hard to vote against Wizard and Wonka, though. Oh, and I can't stand E.T., except John Williams's always-excellent work.

Wonka. I love both versions. Humility and gratitude triumphing over greedy, spoiled brats.

ok, but i have too pull my head through brick wall (or similarly)
I rank as this from number 1 to 5 but it is hard (I have seen all exept Sleeping Beauty)
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Pinocchio
3. Hunchback in Notre Dame (woderfull moral, great music Alan Menken is a genius)
4. Fantasia
5. Dumbo (for being the first psychadelic film)
honourable mention is that I saw Atlantis: the lost Empire (or something) and I loved it, great Sci/FI and bet me Avatar took even some elements from it)

Got to give a vote to the Jungle Book!
I'm not sure that The Sound of Music is a family film. Three out of four of my family wouldn't watch it unless forced.
