Broadford and Blues instrumental will be released on Stormwatch. I think Tull have 9 albums worth of unrepeated studio extras between 1968 and 84. Most of them are first class

Think so. I mainly buy these for the bonus studio stuff and also the improved sound. Remixes do make a difference in sound. I’m hearing things I never knew existed. The bonus stuff is usually first class. Who would have thought 1971, 73, 74 and pretty much 78 had double albums worth of studio. I bet 78 will have a double album too. At least the weaker pop soundtracks had the best/most bonus tracks to even out the number of quality tracks every year throughout the 70s. Bonus stuff on warchild, too old is better than most or all of the album stuff

All good. We could overrate nursery cryme, relayer and in the court and underrate a far superior band in Tull

I'd settle for just a really good sounding copy of the original. I actually dislike extra tracks, as they detract from what the original album experience was supposed to be.
FWIW I've always thought 'Heavy Horses' was JT's best album after 'Aqualung'. 'Songs From the Wood' always seemed to be favoured as JT's comeback album, but to me it was a rehearsal for HH.

Always preferred 'Songs' to 'Horses' - and probably still do. However, heard it the other day with fresh ears at work, and it impressed me more than I remembered. I'll no doubt buy the box set, as I did with the 'Songs' one - although not sure if the live tracks will add much that hasn't already been superbly covered by 'Live - Bursting Out' - the first album I bought with my student grant in a vinyl warehouse in Manchester! Happy days!

Pretty sure Dr Prog isn't Thick as a Brick. Ian's 69'-82 manic Mozart mojo inundated studios with copious mysterious bonus material.  Ian bequeathed us a treasure trove loot of silver and gold. More than Yes, ELP, Genesis, and Gentle Giant. It's just the way Ian Anderson rolled...

I don't care for live or demo bonus tracks, but bring on extra well recorded studio tracks anytime. Especially Tull ones that are better than album songs.
You can always push stop at the end of the album

I wish I was there in the studio to help him with their album song choices lol. Tull would have been the biggest band in the world for the whole decade and not just early 70s
