When is that gig? I'll try my hardest to get it done. Oh and it's not all about her, the guys are also worthy of a mention. |

Never really noticed them...
Been out drinking with them a few times and, the guitarist especially, they both have an encyclopaedic knowledge of prog. Can't 'alf knock 'em back, too. Head hurts just rememberin' it

Sweet. The Japanese prog scene is wonderful and it's not fair!
I know the drummer speaks English, as he sings in English on one of the tunes on the new album, do the other two speak English also? I will write a review one day, I've thought about it, I just need to do it. |

Never heard 'em speaking in English. Only in Japanese and with an impenetrably thick Osaka accent. Miyako's French is pretty good

Indeed, their first album is full of French titles and even the band has a French name.
I'm sure they do speak English. |

The translated titles of 8.8 are stunningly innacurate !

How can your Japanese not be that good, I thought you were Japanese?
Well I'm pretty sure one of them speaks English anyhow. |

Me Japanese is well rusty.
Just had a flick the song titles: How on Earth does the original title 'Hato' (pigeon in Japanese) become 'The Hard Metallic Pigeon' ?

I've no idea!
How is your Japanese rusty? Your English however, is very English! You're more English than I am, by the things you say. |

There's also a full track up on last.fm for them.
I also say they're thoroughly recommended. Their new album is much more diverse and I think it may just be a smidge better because of that reason. I do happen to like their '20s Black and White Silent Film (a la Laurel and Hardy) style they occasionally use though (especially with the piano). Edited by Geck0 - February 27 2007 at 23:58 |

No need, but a signed copy would be nice. I think you'll enjoy the new one. As I said, their sound is similar, but it goes further and does so much more. They're experimenting more and the songs have more vocals. Plus they have 3 Dream Theater moments where the whole band swap instruments. It's odd how an Englishman has the new album before a guy who lives in Japan! |
