Billy Cobham is coming to Argentina, and been meaning to go. Though I only know, from his solo works, Spectrum, I love it, but not sure he'll play any song of it.

So I want to know what has he been doing lately, what sort of music, well surely Fusion, but any good?

Also, if someone saw him live lately, please tell me how was it.

I heard the news some weeks ago. Although I have to skip college to go I think I'll end up going.
Apart from spectrum , I don't know any of his solo stuff. But it's jazz ,you can't go wrong with that one!

^haha, you're right, but it would be cool to know a bit of what he's doing lately, I don't want to end up going and see him play the drums all night long, hahaha

I saw him last September in NYC at the Blue Note with the Spectrum Band (Dean Brown - Guitar, Victor Bailey - Bass, Tom Coster - Keyboards & Billy Cobham - Drums).  The band was good (but I prefered the Spectrum Band with Frank Gambale in it).  At the Blue Note he did a couple of songs from "Spectrum", one from "Crosswinds" and a couple from "Fruit of the Loom" (maybe a couple more I don't remember - it was a very short set about 50 minutes max).  Not sure what he could be into by now, he changes frequently.  He's a little slower than the Mahavishnu Orchestra days (hey that was over 35 years ago) but still technically great.  You should see a very good show.

Not very recent, but I've been into a cool band called Jazz is Dead recently. Cobham, T Lavitz, Alphonzo Johnson, and Jimmy Herring comprised the original lineup for their first album 'Blue Light Rain', and I managed to find a live show as well.

They play covers of Grateful Dead songs, which put me off at first cause I'm not a big Dead guy, but they put their own original fusiony spin on them. Very addictive stuff, and Cobham's great as usual.

But yeah overall this was 10 years ago now for Cobham. Don't know what's happening now.
