An exploration in heavy music and progressive noisescapes, this album just came out Tuesday and has been in constant rotation for me.  I added the new album to OMGs artist page, and was surprised by how few reviews there were.  I'm guessing most people aren't into the more extreme edges of heavy, but OMG (members of ISIS / Converge / Zozobra / Doom Riders) have a lot to offer.  I'll come back in a while and see if I can attract any of the heavy inclined members; I'll just drop this here in the meantime...

OMG is fantastic. Christmas is pretty much the perfect balance between noisy ambience and balls-out post-metal/hardcore blasts. I have NO but haven't listened to it yet, but I probably will today.

Christmas was the only OMG album I had before NO came out.  I was able to pick up NO, Seminar II, and Meditations in B when they were made available on the bandcamp page.  I'd been looking for years, but they're so rare.  I've been scouring the web trying to find a physical copy of Seminar III, but haven't had any luck.  I feel like NO is the album I've been waiting for since ISIS disbanded.

Listen to a couple of tracks last night.  Did not hit me as being anywhere near as good as the Isis albums I know (Wavering and Absence).  I don't mind, and often like, the vocals on these albums.  Cannot say the same for NO...

Apologies for raining on your parade kiddies, but now that the cat is out of the bag:
Old Man Gloom is really a crinklycore musical project started by the Admin Team.

Dean - bass, guitars, pessimism and makeup
TonyR - ribcage percussion, human remains, growls
Easy Livin - keyboards and gentle encouragement
Exit the Lemming - big words and electronics
