Topic: Intronaut Posted: July 13 2009 at 17:42 |
If your into the Post metal genre there is band you need to check out their name is Intronaut. I seen them open up for Mastodon a bout three months ago. I had no idea what this band was going to sound like. I was amazed after their performance. This band has a real jazz fusion flavor into the mix also, which i really like most about this band. The bass player and drummer Danny Walker are the focal point of this band, and two guitaists also, kind of similar to the Guitars of Isis. If you ever get a chance to see this band live go see them! And for you who have heard them berfore what do think of them?

I havenīt heard them before, but thanks very much for the recommendation. It sounds interesting. Added to my future listenings.
Edit: The name of the band is very original and striking.

Just got the album Prehistor-whatever the hell it is and I was blown away at first listen. I wouldn't call them post-metal though if I'm honest.

Show I saw the bassist played with Intronaut and Mouth of the Architect.
I love Intronaut.. They just keep getting stronger with each release.

Intronaut are utterly amazing, if it wasnt for the overly long intro to The Reptillian Brain I'd give Prehistoricisms 5 stars easily.

I think making it last 7 minutes was a bit much but even with that its a pretty good song.

They are in a league of their own! Great band who truly bring something new to the progressive hardcore genre and the best part is they don't sound" neurisican" at all.
