I must admit, I've never heard Khan .
Love that Hawkwind's album, by the way.

Khan just thunders through the speakers like a football-team of overweight truckers. Space Shanty beats nearly every Hawkwind record I´ve heard, albeit for Space Ritual.

The ship on the cover of the Space Shanty may only be a shanty, but at least it is still in working order unlike the wreck on the cover of Hall of the Mountain Grill. Two good albums; I'm voting for the one with the working spaceship.

I voted for Khan but Hall is one of the best Hawkwind album with Warrior on the edge of time , seen them on 1977 in Paris at the salle Playel ( a classical concert venue) and they burnt the american flag, and many of us smoked spliffs though cigarettes were prohabited.... unforgetable......

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I don't like Khan's album as much as I did some years ago, but good album. The only Hawkwind album I own is Space Ritual, so no vote.

I'm a big Hillage fan and a huge Hawkwind fan. But I think Space Shanty is my least favourite thing The Submarine Captain has done (Its ok) so, Hawks get the vote hands down

Hall Of The Mountain Grill. A slab. "The Psychedelic Warlords" is fantastic. A heavy space rock classic.

HotMG is a good album, but Space Shanty is my favourite Canterbury Scene album, so Khan gets my vote.

Khan isn't on Rhapsody so I can't listen to them.... As for Hawkwind, they are a badly produced noodle band from what I've heard... though I like Silver Machine.....

I'll cast a late vote for Hawkwind. That's easily my favorite album by them.
Thing about Hawkwind is, there's not really a lot to what they do, but if you're willing to just kick your shoes off and go where they take you, it's always a good time. It's fantasy.
The Khan album is pretty good, but not great imo.
