Topic: Pendragon Discography Posted: March 06 2011 at 07:29 |
Well, Passion will be here next month (April 11th) , and it's already looking to be a brilliant album.
But which is the 'best of the rest'? I've always preferred the Masquerade Overture, but I recently listened to Pure and Not Of This World again, and now I don't know.
(PS. Fallen Dreams And Angles is considered a 'mini album' rather than an EP, so I decided to put it in the poll)

The Masquerade Overture, with Pure right behind.

An extremely difficult poll - thanks
I've gone for Masquerade Overture, but only just. I listened to the samplers from Passion last night, and it sounds great. I then put on Pure, which is a magnificent album. By God, they've got their work cut out to match that really.

My thoughts exactly. I wonder how many other bands release some of their best materiel after being around for 30 years.

I've spent almost all day listening to Pendragon now (it's been a good day), and it's got to be Not Of This World, it just works. I'm sort of addicted to it already....

The samples already suggest that Passion will be right up there as far as album of the year is concerned.

THE WINDOW OF LIFE is for me their best production. This album is 5 stars without doubts. Last man on earth, Breaking the spell, Walls of Babylon, all are stunning modern prog tracks.

I like The Jewel best. An amazing album which gets better over the years.
For me the only neo prog album to be a candidate for a place not very far after albums like Selling England, The Court Of The Crimson King and Dark Side Of The Moon.
I think it's absolutely fantastic.

I agree, Believe took a while to 'click' and still had a couple of throwaway tracks... Well worth persevering though!

1 Pure
2 Believe
3 Masquerade
4 Window of Life
Suspect that Passion will find it's way into my top 3 - I can't wait to see them at Cardiff next week.
