I'm one of the few here that thinks Olias is a bit horrible. So hergest Ridge for me.

For once I'll have to disagree with you Ian - I love Olias. I 've never heard Hergest Ridge so I won't vote.

With all the due respect to Jon, Hergest Ridge is simply one of the best prog rock albums ever.

Even though Anderson is my favorite composer in prog, I wasn't really blown away by Olias, even though I respect him for it, because musically it was a very groundbreaking album.
Hergest Ridge is my favorite Oldfield album, so I chose that one. I really like the closing section of part I and the opening section of part II in particular.

Hergest Ridge is a good album, but it never moved me as much as Tubulear Bells or Ommadawn part 1 did.
Olias of Sunhillow is the best solo album save one by a Yes member. So I vote for Olias.

I prefer Olias because it has lyrics and it has wonderful instrumental passages. Hergest is good also.
