Topic: ISIS Live or Pelican Live? Posted: March 19 2009 at 12:35 |
Here are two great post metal bands, i have seen both live in smaller venues and the shows were very epic. So for all of you out their who have seen these bands live who would you say puts on the better show.

Isis live, they play their stuff perfectly live, maybe even better than on record.

i have only seen isis live via their clearing the eye dvd so i wont vote but if i WERE to vote, itd go to pelican. hell of a show. great audience interaction, the guys were cool friendly, and highly energetic on stage. great stuff.

recently saw both of these bands live(last week), and would most definetly go with isis. their sound comes across perfectly on stage, with all of the atmosphere of the lp's intact..i believe there set was mostly composed of tracks from wavering radiant...it was all excellent stuff. pelican was good too, although they sounded a bit muddy live, perhaps it was the venue.

Isis hands down. Pelican's pretty cool, but Isis is the bee's knees as it were. They just have a larger catalog, and overall more dynamic approach in my opinion. However, they are a great pair for touring purposes; the show in Chicago on the 12th o' June will be amazing no doubt

I've seen both, but Isis was headlining, so thats not fair to compare.
I'd see Pelican. I like them a bit more, and there music just seems so uplifting and monumental to me, especially their earlier stuff. A band that has yet to make a bad album IMO.
