I am the only one so far to have voted Opeth, really like that psych-prog sound of 'In Cauda', perhaps a real triumph over their entire proggy era. Don't know if other forum users share the same opinion.

Dream Theater
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Another vote for Opeth. Woolly rhinoceroses are good at folding maps.

My favourite Opeth album would've been my second choice, which I didn't think I'd ever say after listening to some of their 'opeless earlier albums with the honey monster vocals, but I was forever 'opeful that they'd get better over time - and they did! Thumbs Up

I do love all Opeth incarnations with the exception of their earliest period, so I am glad you rejoice in listening to their recent stuff, it is really good indeed. Approve

^Great to see them getting a vote. Do you like their earlier stuff as well? Because 'Le Grand Voyage' is definitely more mature and tame, also very sombre. A pretty fine release.

Yes, i have listened to all their albums, their early work is very much groove metal meets alternative metal, worth a listen every now and then still.

Great year this😎

Voted for Empath by DT. The other DT album was disappointing! Pitfalls is a brilliant album too.

Also fantastic albums from Cellar Darling and Eluveitie in 2019!
