This is a great album which makes it very hard to choose, but I went for the slow burning Emanations in the end. UZ are so over-looked: making great music in the 1980s when prog was deeply unfashionable. This period of the band is nicely documented in the sleeve notes to the 'Relaps' live album and the challenges Daniel Denis had to keep the show on the road.

It's a cool album. Not as dark as 1313. I went on a Univers Zero binge back in 2010

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
