A Farewell To Kings (although I would put Animals and Peter Gabriel's debut ahead of it with Hawkwind and Yes making up my top 5 for the year).

Surely not the best Wishbone Ash album, but I very like "Surface to Air"
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

these lists contain the OP's personal faves of the year, rather than an objective list, however speaking personally, I think these lists always show more interesting results when Rush, Yes, Genesis & PF are omitted from the choices...
Thanks, Jared....yeah, the lists are my personal faves, and not meant to be all inclusive.....

Farewell to kings and Animals both are masterpieces in their own right

I voted The Missing Piece for two reasons: 1) it's a recent discovery for me that I find far more maligned that it ever should have been (Side Two is quite awesome!) and 2) None of the other albums on the list are on any of my own lists of "favorites."
