To quote The Vapors, one might say it's been turning Japanese (which is not to say that the Japanese have slanted eyes, that's more of a Chinese trait, it's more of a Japanese script thing -- I worked in Japan, best time of my life).... I find copy-pasting here from other sites problematic when using the the WYSIWYG post editor, which is found in Members Control Panel --> Forum Preferences. I keep it disabled partially for that reason. I'd rather import plain text most of the time and avoid the code that often comes with it. Before figuring that out when I had problems I would copy to Notepad then copy that here.

By the way, If you see my name as editing your post, that was an error, was having a battle with Captcha and did something wrong.

Thanks! I never would've noticed that you'd edited my post if you hadn't mentioned it. Smile

Turn of a Friendly Card. My least favorite is its predecessor, Eve.

It looks like you've played your joker and aced it with your vote for The Turn of a Friendly Card. Wink

I regard Tales of Mystery and Imagination as a five-star absolute must-have album which I don't have yet, whereas Eve and Stereotomy are reasonably good three-star albums for me which I DO have, and all of the remaining seven APP albums are very good four-star albums from my point of view. Smile

My favorite APP album is I, Robot--a start-to-finish masterpiece--but "The Fall of the House of Usher" suite is by far the best thing they ever did.

Same here. And Tales is way better than Robot.

I chose "The Fall of the House of Usher" suite as one of my favourite songs on the Create Your Own Alan Parsons Project Album thread. Smile

Tales of Mystery and Imagination I guess, but I don't look towards alan parson for a prog fix I think when I just want to relax and enjoy simple good music without any concentration I enjoy alan parsons most

I'm listening to the Freudiana (1990) album right at this moment. It's an Alan Parsons Project album in all but name and it's sounding pretty good too, apart from the one minor aberration featuring Frankie Howerd. Smile

Voted for I, Robot but it could have easily been Tales or Friendly Card.    As time went by their progginess lessened but all of their albums are very good with Stereotomy and Pyramid being The ones I listen to the least.

Stereotomy is also my least favourite of the ten Alan Parsons Project albums. Smile

Tales for me too, followed by I Robot... then the rest. With a special mention to the song La Sagrada Familia towards the end of their discography.

It's good to see Tales of Mystery and Imagination has deservedly picked up more votes than all of the other albums combined. It's the only five-star Alan Parsons Project album for me. Smile

Tales of Mystery and Imagination used to be a fequent listen. Great vocals, atmosphere, very nice production. Still would go with this one.
