"This remastered edition of ‘Large Afternoon’ has been expanded to a 2 disc set to include Greenslade’s ‘Live 2001’ album and includes a booklet with an essay featuring an exclusive interview with Dave Greenslade."


I'm going to get this for sure, I love the live recording (previously released separately as "The Full Edition").

^^ I think this is one for Paul... as far as I know, he's the only forum member who actually rates Large Afternoon enough to buy it!

The studio album is not fantastic, but the live recording is. And John Young is the best singer Greenslade ever had.

I already have the Angel Air version of Large Afternoon, but I'm going to upgrade to this new re-issue on Esoteric. The first four Greenslade albums are very nicely treated by Esoteric.

Hi,

As much as I like this band, and I have all the CD's (traded them for LP's 10 years ago) ... the one thing that is not mentioned is the work that Dave Lawson also did with so many other bands ... it really speaks for their taste and touch in the music.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
