Death Organ is a Swedish progressive rock/death metal band led by keyboardist Per Wiberg (Opeth, Spiritual Beggars, Mojobone, King Hobo). Their music is organ-driven (no guitar!) prog rock/metal with often growling vocals.
"heir second album, Universal Stripsearch, was listed by Piero Scaruffi as one of the "best progressive-rock albums of all times";[4] Swedish review site Rockguiden called the music a mix between Faith No More and Atomic Rooster.[5] Mike Taylor, for the New Gibraltar Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock, rates the albums as 95 and 97 (out of 100), respectively.[6]" line-up:
9 To 5 (1995) Universal Stripsearch (1997) More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Organ http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/death_organ http://www.worldlingo.com/ma/enwiki/en/9_to_5_%28Death_Organ_album%29 http://www.worldlingo.com/ma/enwiki/en/Universal_Stripsearch http://www.pop.nu/show_record.asp?recid=159754 P.S. I've been trying to track down Death Organ ever since hearing samples of their songs on APM's website. I have several CDs from APM but was never able to find a copy of Universal Stripsearch, is it going to be re-released?
