Also the name of an american group, Cybotron is an australian electronic band formed in 1975 by Steve Maxwell von Braund (who released the first fully electronic australian album, Monster Planet) and keyboardist Geoff Green.
They released three studio and one live albums in the late 70s', fully instrumental, electronic and ambient, in the vein of mid 70s' Tangerine Dream, Schulze and Tim Blake, but with addition of saxophone playing, adding a little jazzy touch to their trippy textures. A short story of the band : http://www.milesago.com/Artists/cybotron.htm Their music is very enjoyable and relaxing. Recommended to prog electronic fans ! Great band Modrigue i've only heard Colossus from 1977? or 1979? and its quite good, very Tangerine Dream influenced, i thought Colossus was the only album by this band but oh surprise they own two more, another unknown band from Australia. Electronic Team please check this band ![]() |
