Yup from what little I've heard, and based on the reviews. proto-prog seems more logical than the Psychedelic/Space Rock under which they are currently listed .. although the later albums after the late 80s reunion seem to fall into Indo-prog/Raga rock ![]() Any one else with any thoughts on this? "Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”
"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present." |

I have both their original albums- 'Sea Shanties' and 'High Tide'- and love both, full of great violin/guitar duels, and excellent Jim Morrison style vocals. They are kind of reminiscent of King Crimson or East Of Eden to these ears, and they evolved from a mid to late 60s psychedelic act called The Misunderstood. |

Legendary band whose style reminds to bands like BLOSSOM TOES , SKIP BIFFERTY , or, MISUNDERSTOOD ( TONY HILL played guitar in this band). Their sound mix exoticism, psychedelia, hard, folk, melodic moments and classicism. Between the two albums released by LIBERTY label, i prefere "HIGH TIDE", their second, which is more beautifully finished. |
