Astorg biography
ASTORG is a solo instrumental project that draws on multiple influences. These influences range from those epic acoustic passages of 1990's Black Metal, Neo Folk to classical music, through shred guitar, progressive rock, or even flamenco. It could be said that Astorg's music is evocative, melancholic and captivating.

Victor Navaz was a member of the veteran negative Black Metal band EMPTY from its inception, back in 1998, until 2018. Although he is not officially a member of the band, he collaborates, such as playing the lead guitars on Empty's latest work "Omnia Amet Lorem".

Although the idea of creating a solo acoustic project arose in the late 2010s, it was not until 2020 when it began to materialize in the form of compositions. Recorded between 2020 and 2022 in a home studio, Astorg's debut "And Yet, The River Will Flow" jumped into the virtual world in September 2022.

While the project is from the windy city of Zaragoza, the name of Astorg comes directly from the name of one of the peaks in the Aragonese Pyrenees called Punta de Astorg (or cursed peak), located in the Maladeta mountain range (Huesca).

The concept of the album is not just a Nature worship gesture. It's a triumphant manifest of Nature itself and how, if necessary, it will reclaim the earth from a self proclaimed dominant species that has proven it cannot live in harmony with its environment and other living creatures.
