This Oneness biography
This Oneness was a short-lived project from Minnesota that released just one studio album, Surprize, in 1975. This collection of multi-instrumentalists had an unusual beginning for a progressive rock band, coming together as the backing band for Olivia Newton-John exclusively on the U.S. leg of her 1974-75 tours. This included national television exposure, playing on one of the era's premier music shows, The Midnight Special. Their time with her was the inspiration for their album's fourth track, Song for Olivia.

The band's lineup for their lone album:

-Dale Strength / Vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, percussion
-Robyn Lee / Flute, saxophone, organ, synthesizer, vocals
-Bernard Pershey / Drums, percussion, vocals
-Douglas Nelson / Electric basses, vocals, percussion
-Greg Inhofer / Vocals, electronic and acoustic pianos, 6 and 12-string guitars, percussion

Surprize blends progressive styles with a strong fusion undercurrent and hints of neo-classical.
