THOMAS FLINTER was a progressive rock group from Eindhoven that consisted of Maarten HOLTZ, Harrie HOFMANS, Karel DE GREEF, Tjin HEYMANS, Ad MAAS and Guyla JOHASZ. This obscure group was allegedly led by the keyboard player Ad MAAS and the band was named after a medieval troubadour whose music they found very inventive for his time. They played fusion flavoured prog rock with symphonic and fittingly occassional medieval folk moments on their debut album and moved closer to contemporary jazz on their second and last record in the early 80's.
