5 stars A song that had I heard it before I put together all of my Year-End Top lists would have earned a place as my #2 favorite song of 2024 (right behind Midas Falls' extraordinary "I Am Wrong"). What makes this song so extraordinary are Lynsey's melodies and the effortless bridging of Pop, Soul and Metal that the band (and Lynsey's singing performance) accomplish. That djenty bass of Jonny Knight just strikes me to the core while the layers of synths and multiple background vocalist tracks all serve to drive home that earworm of a melody deep into my brain. How Lynsey keeps morphing her voice to express so many very different styles is a marvel to me--the reason her place in my pantheon of female vocalists keeps rising and rising.
