4 stars This single released late in 2024 is more pop-sounding than their previous songs despite the djenty bass. As a matter of fact, it reminds me a lot of the VYLET PONY EDM-infused music that I became so deeply impressed with when I was exposed to it in January of this year. It's very well done but nothing here is so refreshingly new or innovative to make it something I'll add to a playlist. At the same time I do like to see a band that explores different sound palettes, different styles, and different audiences. The use of synths with no piano (in the first half) is a real divergence for the band, so, again, kudos for branching out and trying something new (or, I should say, a lot of things new). A style I would not discourage the band from continuing to explore (especially as they can only get better) but I do hope they're not thinking of abandoning the djenty Prog Metal stuff cuz it emerges out of them so much more naturally, easily, and effectively.
