4 stars I enjoy this album immensely...its quite simply, beautiful and moving. Kevin W is a very good creative songwriter and instrumentalist. After about 4 or 5 listens Ive realised there is a concept to this album, it is about the various Paths one can follow in life and some of the consequences of them. Yes, its deep but not (as the artist description says) bleak, that is except for the track, Dust & Dreams which evokes pictures of the aftermath of nuclear war, this song is also beautiful though, a coda is lovingly played and sang on acoustic piano, an ode to his lost sweetheart maybe? Theres plenty of acoustic guitar and piano as well as some heavy (Gilmouresque) guitar and synths, I detect mellotron on The World Tonight.. My personal favourite track is You Go You Way, reminicent of Floyds Empty Spaces, that is, in a similar mode... The music is Floydian (later era) but has its own personality. I got the album as a download at Mindawn, well worth the $7. Looking forward to the next Nimrod album.
