HAPPY SONGS FOR HAPPY PEOPLE

This is easily the best post-rock album I have ever heard! The way that Mogwai can put together post-rock structure and experimentation, but use it in a pop realm, is simply beyond me. These songs really speak to the listener through small notches in noise, simple string plucks, and other other-wordly noises. This music gives me a picture in my mind of glass-blowing. It has something so hot and dark at its core, but explodes to create something that is surely beautiful and delicate. A must have album.
