5 stars If you havent heard ELP, this is a great album to hear their various styles. You have the typical ELP sound at its best with songs such as Jerusalem and Karn Evil 9. There is the humerous song that is found on the majority of their albums in Benny The Bouncer. You have the intense virtuosity of Emerson and Palmer in the song Toccatta, an insane rendition of a classical piece. Then you have the sweet voice of Greg Lake along with his acoustic guitar arpeggios in Still. . . You Turn Me On.

I have searched, and it is simply impossible to find 3 better musicians working together. Greg Lake has an amazing voice, in fact I have never heard anyone with a better voice. Keith Emerson is only comparable to Rick Wakeman in terms of talent. In my opinion he is slightly better than Wakeman. And Carl Palmer is an even better drummer than Neil Peart from Rush and Bill Bruford from Yes/King Crimson.

This album was ELP's magnum opus. One of the few albums I would give a 5/5. It was their best piece, and they could never best themselves after this. The only album that was close to this one is Pictures at an Exhibition, their rendition of Mussorgsky's classic piece.
