4 stars Rush gets it done in a big way by displaying an incredible array of interestingly constructed songs. They were to come across even more powerfully in concert. This album took a lot of heat from people who simply can't understand why they don't keep writing songs they have already written. You want to hear Fly By Night,2112, Kings, Hemispheres? Well then play them. But accept the fact that these guys are about covering new ground in interesting ways. Yeah, there is a rap section. Get over it. Rush is experimental hard rock and they choose to set and break molds as they see fit. That is why Rush has had such an incredible career and can still fill arenas and kick much butt in the process.
