OXYGÈNE

JMJ made electronica accessible for the masses! As a pop product "Oxygene" is really a legendary classic but from a progressive and artistic point of view it lacks some musical depth to reach te same hights as TANGERINE DREAM, KLAUS SCHULZE, VANGELIS and others. After hearing this masters "Oxygene" may sound banal. Despite this some songs have extremely catchy melodies, for example "Oxygene Part II" and "Oxygene Part IV". It's hard not to like it. It's much better music than later comercial electronica. Not essential stuff but still worth a spinif you're in the mood for early pop electronica!
