Somewhere between the '90s and the beginning of the 21st century, it became really popular the concept of the Symphonic live performances (a rock band playing with an orchestra): METALLICA did it, KISS did it, SCORPIONS did it, and YES did it.

The performances of classic songs of YES as "The gates of delirium", "Close to the Edge" or "Yours is no disgrace" and the inclusion of songs from their back in those days latest album "Magnification" ("Don't go", "In the presence of") were perfectly arranged with an orchestra and played alive in Amsterdam in 2001 (when "Magnification" had just been published).

The four members of this line-up (HOWE-ANDERSON-WHITE-SQUIRE) return to their most classic sound (and this time they were more CLASSIC than ever). The arrangements are beautiful and the show must have been amazing; the album is good, original, fresh, well: it is great but frankly, I'm not very easy to convince when talking about live albums, I'd rather listen to "Yessongs" (of course it is enormously different this orchestral show than just five young guys playing with much more energy) and leave this album for very spare occasions.
