NIGHT DREAMS & WISHES

There is not too often nowadays that composers are "feeding us" with many beautiful themes or melodies. That's why I am still a big fan of the art-rock of 70s, when not only the skill of musicians and their ability to play "machine-gun" solos were dominating, but there was a lot of Music and beautiful songs. I must agree that through the past 5 years contemporary bands are returning back to the roots and this is a very good sign. In "Night Dreams and Wishes" I've heard around 25 original and interesting themes, that I would like to listen to again and again. I like the change of moods in the suite. It reflects the front sleeve "The Balcony", where the whole landscape is divided by the bars of the balcony to parts that differ in color and emotions. The back sleeve with a great feeling and skill depicts the Evil King and his greed for power. Thus, there is an obvious synergy between the music of the album and the artwork. Once again it is a cool reminiscence of the 70s. For me this album is a complete thing: great music, fantastic musicians and cool piece of art. That's why my verdict is 5 stars.
