ABC'S FOR MONKEYS AND BEARS

This second Mutiny in Jonestown studio album is quite similar to their first. A mostly guitar driven quirky and interesting collection of songs that can't decide if they're hard rock or Beatle-esque pop?or a little of both. The 2 standout songs are "Half of Me" and "DM+HC" which appear to be bittersweet pictures of a relationship that can never happen. This album has even less prog content than the debut, so once again, while it would be enjoyable rock for people already into the band, it certainly wouldn't convert any new prog fans. For that, I give it a 2 star rating.
