CAMEL

What an incredible first record !!! Music is very melodic and at the same time very dynamic. I remember I've been very surprised the first time I listened to this album. In fact I discovered Camel with "Snow Goose" and for me this band was supposed to produce soft- symphonic prog. I couldn't imagine than Camel could be so heavy as on this one. As for all other bands with their first LP, you can find some influences ( Focus, Genesis and certainly ...Santana ), but the way the songs are composed and developped is already very personnal. Latimer, Bardens, Ward and Ferguson produced later music more sophisticated and ambitious, but don't forget this first one. It's pure pleasure.
