FEAR & ANXIETY

When I first saw the photos of this trio of ladies I was stunned, it seems that this girls have gained quite a reputation in the prog world only by those photos. But have no doubt music is as freaky and crazy as those photos. This first album is a base for their aggressive instrumental style and keyboard dominated music that is much alike to ELP but also different in so many ways. Keiko Kumagai is very skillful whit her keyboard machinery and pretty powerful when is needed, while Emerson influences are obvious a lot of her music have roots in Italian symphonic band like Goblin or Il Balletto di Bronzo. She mix's reality with super dark horror sounds (from some old horror movies from 60's) and very colorful keyboard sounds that fly's over Hammond to digital sinth and mellotron sounds. Bass and drum have a special place in this band, to support and give their music full and strong sound of complete energy. Conclusion So while this album has some pretty good and decent songs like Jihad, House of Ben (really like heavy breeding in the beginning of song ) and Fata Morgana ( both parts ), he stands like guiding star to other later works of this great band.
