this album marks its 45th anniversary today, and it is one of the most groundbreaking albums of all time, i mean, who else a rock opera on this scale before?!! and so in honor of that, this poll dedicates to what exactly is the best song on the album, and i will include every single one, even the shortest songs ever probably, lol. so which one is your favorite?

The Acid Queen for me. I love the way Roger sings that.

Btw I moved this thread to the proto/related part of the forum:-)

Actually I think Pete sings Acid Queen.  Great tune though - Rare Goat has played it on occasion in rehearsal, it's rockin!

My favorite is probably Cousin Kevin.  Just a weird melody and chord progression, and really dark.  Chilling tune.

Maybe that's why I like it so much?

Hahah and to think that I actually got confused about whether it was Roger or not, when I posted that

"Go to the Mirror!", a long time fave of mine, includes the "See Me, Feel Me/Listening to You" chorus.

I'll go with "Amazing Journey", an unusual song in The Who's catalog in that it's a full-blown space-rock song both musically and lyrically. Wonderful, trippy and with cool, crazy drumming.

I didn't find yet a song from The Who entitled "See Me, Feel Me/Listening to You"...

ah, well, let me explain. the last song, called "We're Not Gonna Take It!", is actually split up into 3 sections: the actual song, the several second-long section (See Me, Feel Me), and then the last section that fades out, ending the song & the whole album (Listening to You). the two sections were both released as a single in the US back in 1970 just titled "See Me, Feel Me" (as it would be like that onward from that) after its appearance in the Woodstock film (where they performed as the second section played at the same time as the sun was rising up, making it look like Roger actually called for the sun to come up; that's also why it was a big highlight of the festival). it went to #12 in the US and it has been played a lot in the band's concerts. i decided to split up those two as well due to Spotify (yes, i use it) doing so in doing the track listing for some versions of Tommy the site has on it, you know? so, yeah.
