Ciao, greetings to everybody from Italy.
I’m…. eleven times five and prog is at home with me since I was 14. Then I was the much esteemed keyboard player in a prog band playing on… home furnitures. My Hammond was the dish rack and as moog I used anything suitable I could find in the kitchen. The boss in the band was the drummer, for reasons you can easily guess. This being the situation, we were able to play anything, from “Hoedown” (a very hard test for the furnitures) to “Ricochet – part two”… go figure. But seriously, I’m not joking at all.
Then, prog seemingly left this world and I was forced to look for something else… ‘cause I’ll never abandon music (and angling). New Age was a poor surrogate, jazz not for every moment, and at the end, I was in search of a music genre good enough to stress dish racks. Hard rock was Ok (and still is) but the variety of musical expressions was too limited for me. To make long stories short, I discovered PA five years ago, and after many many readings, decided to jump in.
My competences in music are rather small, never played an instrument (apart from dish racks), but with all the prog music I’ve listened to in forty years, maybe I’ll have something to say. And specially I like the atmosphere here, so strong are the feelings prog music can raise…
My most preferred subgenres and bands: symphonic, jazzy, krautrock – Yes (I Get Up, I Get Down… unreachable beauty), Out of Focus, Kraan, If, Agitation Free, Burnin’ Red Ivanhoe, Egg, Hatfield & The North… and many, many others. But all this stuff is rigorously “oldie”: ‘60/’70, prog was not anymore prog after ’77 or ’78, with very few exceptions, imho.
Hope to stay here with you as long as possible.

Thanks for your friendly welcome, Windhawk.
Good stuff, I didn't know them.
Instead, I know (and like) Aunt Mary, from your wonderful Norway.
Maybe we'll talk about them elsewhere...
