Yes here I am with another blog, proggers, and this time something a little bit different as I endeavour to reveal piece by piece bits of an obsessed progheads collection. My own.
I decided to show it by posting videos as that's the easiest way and I had fun doing it and finally you all get to hear me drone on in my half Australian half pommy accent. Dont' ask.
Please comment on the vids. They are all on youtube but I am posting them here in one blog spot.
I am going to talk about the collection as I go through it too.
Anyway here we go and we start with Rush - my favourites.
Enjoy and have a laugh at my raving on.
Oh and post your own collection vids if you have any... its fun proggers.

Had to post this as its pretty funny
I created this music on my Music PSX program
I think its trip hop ir trance electro music - it aint prog I know that!
lots of enjoyment making these tunes up - kind of Dark trance house music here
I called the 'fake' artist Cybersonic.
Tell me how bad it is I dont mind
and posting some more of prog collection soon
This is my music project using PSX Music program. I called artist CYBERSONIC and created each piece using music effects and loops on program. The visuals are pretty terrible but thats better than a black screen I guess. Copied from my VHS.

track 2

The Rush Video Blog is very amusing. Some very in depth reviews and some not so, although some of these cds get about as much airtime as needed. ;)
Can I suggest you buy a tripod if you are going to continue with this.

All this talk about Darren Lock. I had to check him out. You are much more interesting than him!
First Darren Lock do some in depth reviews of his collection, put a lot of humor in them, and finally shows his face! He is a very extrovert king of specie. I find him interesting, but sometimes redundant and tend to lost his focus on a objective review when it doesn't like an artist, like Rush.

i agree there! I am not trying to compete with him but hes a bit of aninfluence.... Lock reviewed Rush Sectors and all he could talk about was all the bare bottoms on the album covers
I watch him though cos he unboxes prog sets I may never own - but I am not keen on his leering staring eyes during reviews...

I just about split my sides laughing when I accidentally put on all the clips at once on this page to check the stabilise function that I just added so all the clips are now not so shaky.
Problem is you could hear my voice a dozen times and it sounded like a conference of Scotts!
If you want to amuse yourself you could do likewise but warning my shockwave crashed I had so many clips playing.

After getting ignored in the 80s by everyone, the shock of reading your
thoughts about the BunChakeze album when you heard it in 2010, was all I
needed to go ahead and try again. So you could say you caused the what
came later. I know that with out Progarchives, nothing would have even
started for us. How about that!

It never ceases to amaze me how PA influences many artists here and inspires them. It isnt designed primarily to do so but it simply does so by its very nature.
I am pleased you went back into action Colin as the music created is incredible in all that you do.

Well I have nowhere to post these next pix so this blog will have to do. This is a series of photos of my OTHER collections that I have amassed over the years.
I started colecting at the tender age of 10 with collector cards and it grew from there. When Star Wars came out in 1977 I began collecting action figures and vehicles.
Then as I got older and I actually had money, the collection expanded
Now it is enormous but .... you have your hobbies - this is mine.
I have basically 5 collections in order of largest
1. Prog Rock
2. Star Wars
3. Star Trek
4. Gerry Anderson series
5. AFL footy
Some photos will follow of this collection.

^^^ HAhaha well, it WAS a secret. I love it! and it means a lot to me as you can see. From childhood to adulthood the shows of Anderson have been a quintessential part of my life.
I even made scrapbooks of the whole eries with every episode - including the script and hundreds of frame caps I made on my PC and printed, Obsessive? Yes.

This is what happens when you listen to too much Rush. Would be cool to hear most of it on the electric with an accompaniment from a band. ... No, seriously.
