Anyone interested in getting this magazine with the new Clockwork Angels album by Rush?

I was considering it:

details (from ebay listing)

On sale a full three weeks before the regular UK album release date. Classic Rock Presents Rush – Clockwork Angels (fanpack edition) features the new album in full plus a 132 page magazine that forms the ‘ultimate sleevenotes’ to the new album, with extensive and exclusive interviews with Neil Peart, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson

Inside is everything you need to know about Clockwork Angels: full track by track rundown by the band, an interview with producer Nic Raskulinecz, long time cover artist Hugh Syme and more – all with exclusive unseen shots.

 PLUS!

Gene Simmons on Rush in the 70s

Live rig and set-up – all the technical info you could possibly need!

AND: The band’s full back catalogue reappraised by former producer Terry Brown, Manic Street Preacher and superfan Nicky Wire, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and more.

All of this plus a Rush Keyring, Giant double sided poster and the long-awaited new album from Rush!

Sounds like a great deal actually. A magazine, three weeks early, extra supplementary materials and the album and it's not even much more expensive. I'd go for it.

And as a massive Manic Street Preachers fan, I'd be fascinated to see what Nicky Wire has to say about the back catalogue. It's always been odd how the Manics' key influences aren't really reflected in their music. For example, vocalist James Bradfield's favourite act is Chic. (In case you don't know, the Manic Street Preachers don't sound the faintest bit like either Rush or Chic.... but there's an interesting two bands to try smashing together...)

Hmmmmmm!!!!!  I wonder if this will be available at B&N or Best Buy or FYE.  I have found a couple of Classic Rock editions at the B&N in the past.

Great lyrics on the new album single too!

Headlong Flight

Some days were dark
I wish that I could live it all again
Some nights were bright
I wish that I could live it all again

All the highlights of that headlong flight
Holding on with all my might
To what I felt back then
I wish that I could live it all again

I have stoked the fire on the big steel wheels
Steer the airship right across the stars
I learned to fight, I learned to love, I learned to feel
Oh I wish that I could live it all again

This album is amazing! You must get it if you're a Rush fan - it's not got all that synth from the 80s albums and it's better than Snakes & Arrows. Sort of goes downhill towards the end with some fairly mediocre tracks though (Wish Them Well and The Wreckers for example) but as a whole, it's great. Nice and long aswell Approve
