A great name of bluegrass and banjo virtuoso has gone.
A real loss.
RIP Earl.

Hey, what are the odds of finding a progger who enjoys Earl's stuff, especially one who really cares?

How about you? What are your favorites?

I love his stuff from late fourties/early fifties with Lester Flatt, authentic dynamic bluegrass.

Amazing banjo player.  "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" was the first thing I learned on the instrument.
