I turn 36 in exactly 5 more hours and damn I feel old. It seems like just yesterday I turned 18. Where oh where has the time gone?
By the way, I'm accepting gifts in the form of cash (u.s. dollars preferred), gold, or precious jewels. Don't be stingy.
------------- I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Hmmm...
I won't tell you how old I'm turning in August, but I'm old enough to be the Doctor's father and Hangedman's grandfather! Yet I still feel young!!!
Peace.

Closing in on 38.
Oh, hell, where did the last 20 years go?
Time flies when you're having fun.
Peace,

Sh*t, I forgot. Happy birthday to the doctor.
Sorry about the gift, but I'm all tapped out.

Hmmmm...perhaps the reason I feel old and you don't might have something to do with me being a beer guzzling, smoking, junk food eater who does not get regular exercise. But seriously, I don't feel physically old, but two things bother me about getting older. First, I see the time rapidly approaching (if it hasn't already happened) where there are fewer days ahead of me than behind me. Second, I miss being really young. The lack of any true responsibility, the hangovers were fewer, and the 18 year old girls (god, how I miss the 18 year old girls).
Synthguy: Thanks for the birthday wishes. Somehow I didn't think there were going to be too many takers for giving me large cash gifts on this site. Especially considering my diatribe in another post in this forum.

Thanks Man with Hat. Happy birthday to you too, a little early perhaps. There do seem to be quite a few people in here with birthdays in July. I'm amazed by all of the young people in this forum and very glad to know that progressive rock is continuing to have an impact on the younger generations. Enjoy your youth (and the young girls) while you can.
BTW, you're name doesn't have anything to do with Men Without Hats does it? "We can dance if we want to/we can leave your friends behind/cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance/well they're no friends of mine."

Well then Maani's not quite old enough to be my dad. Unless he got a very early start, in which case I'd be jealous. I didn't get lucky until I was 16.

How about this for a dream Doc.
Should be a rule that when you get to 29 you stop having birthdays - you don't age anyway but every 12 months you celebrate the fact that you reached 29. On the 100th anniversary of turning 29, you turn in for a good nights kip after a big rage and you die peacefully in your sleep at the age of 29 next to your 29 year old wife.

Thank you and no it actually doesn't...but i love that song. Maybe i can use that as my reasoning. I just picked this name because it was the first thing i could think of. I wanted a sly referance to prog...but this is what i got.

Yes, I noticed that too, MWH...and most of you are from the USA.
Tell us, do you celebrate anything particular in mid October, which makes your fellow countrymen especially amorous?

Are you just talking about your hair, or were you also including your teeth, eyesight and gall bladder?
